English Communications and Content Manager

Standing Together is the largest Jewish-Palestinian grassroots movement in Israel, with close to 7,000 registered members and grassroots actions across the country. Standing Together fosters solidarity and partnership between Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel through nationwide campaigns and grassroots actions to advance the struggle for peace, equality, social, climate, and economic justice, and an end to the occupation.

About the position

Standing Together is seeking an English Communications and Social Media Content Manager for a 50% position. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all English-language communications of the movement, with a strong focus on strategic alignment, content quality, and coordination between teams.

The position oversees the English content team, which includes responsibility over social media, newsletters, and campaigns. The role combines strategic thinking, editorial leadership, coordination, and hands-on writing, editing and assistance with content creation.

The position is based in Israel, with partial work-from-home options. We have offices in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Nazareth, Be’er Sheva and Jerusalem.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications & Content Leadership: 

• Implement an overarching English-language communications strategy aligned with Standing Together’s political goals, campaigns, and fundraising needs.

• Ensure consistency of messaging, tone, and political framing across all English platforms and materials.

Team Coordination & Management:

• Manage two English content creators, including guidance with strategy, task planning, timelines, feedback, and editorial guidance.

• Manage the campaign coordinator, including guidance with fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and the Friends of Standing Together membership program.

Writing & Editorial Oversight

• Edit, proofread, and approve English-language content for social media, newsletters, reports, donor communications, and campaign materials.

• Maintain high standards of clarity, political sharpness, accuracy, and voice.

• Produce written content when needed, including texts for campaigns and social media, newsletters, statements & donor relations. 

Training & Guidance 

• Provide regular assistance and formal training sessions for the local content team and international organizers to stay updated with appropriate political messaging. 

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with Standing Together’s political positions, grassroots organizing, and campaigns. 

• Deep commitment to peace, equality, social justice, and ending the occupation.

• Ability to express complex political ideas clearly in English.

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English.

• Proven experience in communications management, content strategy, or editorial leadership.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines.

• Experience working with teams and coordinating across roles.

• High-level understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) and their strategic use.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with others.

Language requirements

• Native-level English (written and spoken).

• Proficiency in Hebrew or Arabic – required.

Employment Conditions

• 50% FTE position.

• Start date: April 1, 2026

• Compensation based on 11,587 NIS for a full time position (5,793 for 50%) on a collective agreement, including all social benefits from day one and annual salary increase.
